02. What parameters of materials need to be tested?

      Technical question: How to identify the loss factors and Young's modulus parameters of various types of damping materials that change with frequency for forward development?

 

 

03. What material parameter testing can BOACH Acoustics provide?

 · Material loss factor detection:

·   Material/component modal damping ratio test;
·   Support frequency domain and time domain

 · Component modal damping testing and benchmarking:

·   After the prototype is released, compare the effect of the benchmark product with or without the damping layer;                                                                                                                                                                  

·   The test results are used for CAE modeling analysis;
·   Purpose: to compare which damping material is more beneficial to the NVH performance of the product

 

 · Interior material absorption/sound insulation test and 9 microscopic parameter tests:

·   Material sound absorption/sound insulation testing, porous material density and porosity testing;

·   Support material sound absorption and sound insulation testing based on impedance tube testing standards to obtain sound absorption/sound insulation curves that change with frequency;

·   Mainly test the macro parameters of materials;

·   Material/sample flow resistivity, viscosity characteristic factor, thermal characteristic factor and tortuosity test;
·   Foaming materials need to detect the modulus, which can be tested through the material loss factor test bench;

·   Currently detectable materials: foam materials, felt, fiber cotton, metal fibers, foam ceramics, etc.                                                                                                                                          

 

 · Component sound absorption testing and CAE modeling benchmarking:

·   Testing the sound absorption coefficient of sound-absorbing material Sabine under incident conditions—Alpha box;

·   Sound insulation test of reverberation chamber of sound-absorbing and insulating components, CAE model construction and accuracy verification.                                                 

·   Multi-layer composite material modeling research;
·   Sound-absorbing and insulation component design and development services;

·   Acoustic package design, development and cost optimization.
